Overview of paving pedestals:
Pedestals -also known as plate storage are mostly multi-part stilts made of plastic. They are used to precisely lay terrace or balcony slabs. The slabs are raised from the ground by the pedestals. This easily compensates for unevenness in the subfloor. Pedestals are made to make sure that you have a stable substructure for your balcony or terrace.
Different types of terrace pedestals
Pedestals there are different versions that are more suitable depending on the construction situation. A distinction is made between pedestals with variable height and fixed height. The support heads can also be rigid or self-leveling depending on the variant. Such heads with integrated inclination correction make laying the pedestal supports much easier.
Pedestal rail systems for terrace slabs:
Special pedestals are designed to be compatible with a rail system. Such systems are characterised by their particularly high load-bearing capacity. In addition to the normal pedestals, these complete systems include other accessory components such as various attachments and rails.
Adjustable paving pedestals:
These multi-part pedestal bearings can be adjusted to the appropriate height within a certain range. They are either turned by hand or adjusted to the appropriate height using a wrench.
With this variant you also have the choice between fixed and self-leveling heads. Self-leveling heads ensure automatic tilt compensation of the plates thanks to a ball joint.
Fixed height paving pedestal:
This variant is the simplest and cheapest version of pedestal bearings. They offer a stable and cost-effective solution. On flat surfaces with a slight slope, such pedestal bearings can be used without hesitation. The easy handling also ensures quick and easy installation.
