DURAL aluminum joint profile

Application area of the DURAL expansion joint aluminum profile:

The main purpose of the profile is to prevent cracking in floor coverings and to compensate for the natural expansion of different materials.

It is therefore perfect for use in warehouses and production halls, underground garages and shopping centers. Thanks to their function, these profiles are also very popular in private buildings with large-format tiles.

The correct installation of your DURAL expansion joint aluminum profile:

1. Select the height of your profile:
   The profile should be selected 1 - 2 mm higher than the thickness of the tile. This buffer ensures a clean, flush tile finish.
2. Applying the tile adhesive:
   First remove dust and dirt from the substrate. Using a notched trowel, apply the tile adhesive to the appropriate area.
3. Attaching the DURAL aluminum expansion joint profile:
   Now press the profile with the punched legs into the adhesive bed and align. Then embed the leg completely in the adhesive.
4. Laying the tile:
   Lay the tile flush with the upper edge of the profile and with a joint of 2 - 3 mm to the profile in the adhesive.
5. Filling the joint:
   Finally, fill the joint between the tile and the profile completely with grout.

To shorten the DURAL aluminum expansion joint profile, you can use a hacksaw, for example.

How to care for the DURAL expansion joint aluminum profile:

The profiles do not require any special care.

To maintain the appearance of the profile, it is usually sufficient to wipe it regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt or dust.

Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive cleaners, as these could damage the surface.
