The different materials of the balcony profiles:
Balcony end profiles and terrace end profiles are generally available in stainless steel, aluminium or plastic, for example. The different materials offer different advantages and disadvantages. Which material is best for you is explained here.
Balcony end profiles made of aluminium:
The most common material is probably aluminium. Above all, the wide range of options for finishing the surface means that these profiles are available in a variety of colours. Aluminium balcony profiles are also corrosion-resistant and highly weather-resistant. They provide long-term protection for your balcony floor coverings at the edge of the balcony and can also prevent moisture ingress. As aluminium profiles are also cheaper than stainless steel and have similar advantages, we mainly offer aluminium balcony profiles.
Stainless steel balcony profiles:
With stainless steel as a material, you get maximum robustness and corrosion resistance, especially when it comes to V4A. Even chlorine or salt water cannot damage it. This makes the profiles particularly weather-resistant and durable. Furthermore, stainless steel balcony profiles have a timeless and stylish look that creates a harmonious appearance. However, they are also the most expensive option.
Balcony profiles made of plastic:
The most cost-effective option is plastic balcony edging profiles. However, these are less durable than profiles made of aluminium or stainless steel. High levels of UV radiation in particular mean that you will only enjoy these profiles for a short time, as the profile quickly becomes brittle due to the effects of the weather.
You won't have such problems with aluminium or stainless steel, which is why we mainly offer aluminium finishing rails for balconies. The optimal combination of durability and favourable price.
