Stainless steel expansion joint profiles are used in warehouses and production halls, underground car parks and shopping centers, but are also popular in private buildings, as the trend is towards large-format tiles.

Stainless steel expansion joint profiles offer protection against cracks and damage caused by movement in the floor covering.

How to install the stainless steel expansion joint profile:

1. Selecting the height for your profile:
   As the tile adhesive is slightly thicker, the profile should be selected 1 - 2 mm higher than the thickness of the tile. This buffer ensures a clean, flush tile finish.
2. Applying tile adhesive:
   Remove dust and dirt from the substrate. Tile adhesive can then be applied to the appropriate area using a notched trowel.
3. Attaching the profile:
   Now press the profile with the punched legs into the adhesive bed and align the profile. The leg is then completely embedded in the adhesive.
4. Laying the tile:
   The tile can now be laid in the adhesive flush with the upper edge of the profile and with a joint of 2 - 3 mm to the profile.
5. Filling the joint:
   Finally, fill the joint between the tile and the profile completely with grout.

A hacksaw can be used to shorten the stainless steel expansion joint profile.

The correct care for your stainless steel expansion joint profile:

The profiles are easy to care for and can simply be cleaned with pH-neutral cleaners. Aggressive, abrasive cleaners should be avoided; simply use a suitable cleaner and a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt from the profile. This ensures that the profiles retain their elegant appearance for a long time.
