- Choose optimal profile height:
For a perfect result, the DURAL square profile “diamond” aluminum sand about 1 - 2 mm higher than the tile thickness. This compensates for the additional space required by the tile adhesive and ensures a clean finish. - Preparation and adhesive application:
Before the profile is attached, the surface must be thoroughly cleaned. Then the tile adhesive is applied evenly with a notched trowel to create a stable base for the tiles and the profile. - Embed profile:
The profile is pressed into the adhesive bed with the punched leg and precisely aligned. Complete and bubble-free embedding ensures a secure connection, while the unique diamond shape of the profile ensures a particularly elegant appearance. - Installing tiles:
The tile is now pressed firmly into the adhesive and aligned flush with the upper edge of the profile. A gap of 2 - 3 mm should be left to the DURAL square profile “diamond” aluminum sand must be adhered to in order to achieve a harmonious overall effect. - Sealing joints:
Finally, the joint is carefully filled with joint mortar to create a durable and visually appealing transition.
If necessary, the profile can be individually cut to the desired length using suitable tools.
