How to install the stainless steel drainage channel:
The DW Drain stainless steel façade channel is installed in several steps:
- Shorten the channel to the right length:
The first step is to shorten the channel. Make sure that the tool used is completely clean and that there are no flying sparks. - Preparing the substrate:
The second step is to prepare the substrate. When laying on sealed surfaces, a protective film, for example made of EPDM, should be laid between the seal and the gutter to protect the seal. If the channel is laid on gravel, it must be properly compacted beforehand - Place the gutter:
Now you can lay the gutter loosely on the prepared ground or glue it down. - Attach end caps:
These are simply pushed onto the ends of the channel. - Remove adhesive and joint material residue:
Remove any adhesive or joint material residue that has accumulated during installation with a soft sponge and clean water. Cement residue remover should not be used.
Care advice
Care advice
The right care for stainless steel driveway drainage channel:
Regular cleaning of the gutter ensures that it remains functional. Avoid using strong acids or alkalis when cleaning and it is sufficient to remove coarse dirt from the gutter with a high-pressure cleaner or broom. This will prevent deposits from building up in the gutter, which will make it more difficult for the water to drain away.
To prevent corrosion, any soiling from other metals must be removed immediately.
