Waterproofing and decoupling membrane

How to lay the sealing and decoupling membrane:

1. Preparing the substrate: To lay the sealing and decoupling mat, the floor must first be cleaned of dirt and moisture to ensure adhesion of the adhesive. Any levelling measures to remove unevenness must also be carried out before laying.
2. Apply adhesive: Thin-bed mortar is now applied using a 4 x 4 mm notched trowel. Hydraulically setting flexible mortar or fast-setting flexible adhesive in accordance with DIN EN 12004 / C2 are suitable for this purpose.
3. Installing the waterproofing and decoupling membrane: The cut-to-size membranes are embedded in the adhesive with the black fleece facing downwards. Use a smoothing trowel to press down the sealing and decoupling membrane so that any air bubbles are smoothed out. The membranes are laid butt-jointed.
4. Seal wall/floor transition areas and pipe connections: The sealing strip WP and our sealing corner can be used for the transitions. Our ET-S pipe collar is used for pipe connections.
5. Tile laying: When using our sealing and decoupling membrane on the wall, tiling can begin immediately after applying the membranes using the thin-bed method. For floor applications, wait until the adhesive has fully cured.

The waterproofing and decoupling membrane is also perfect for use under ceramic and natural stone floor coverings, both indoors and outdoors.

Also ideal as a waterproofing membrane under one of our draining mats.
