It is important that you plan the tile rails before you start laying the tiles. Why? Because most tile profiles should be inserted into the so-called adhesive bed (adhesive layer with which the tiles are fixed to the wall and floor) before the tiles are laid. It is also important that you always select the tile profiles 1 mm to 2 mm higher than the tile.
-
First select the tile profiles according to your tile thickness.
How to determine the right profile height
tile height profile height 4 - 5 mm 6 mm 6 - 7 mm 8 mm 8 mm 9 mm 9 mm 10 mm 10 - 12 mm 12.5 mm -
Apply the tile adhesive to the border area with a notched trowel. For outside wall corners, you must first finish tiling one wall.
-
Press the tile profile into the adhesive bed and align it accordingly. The entire surface of the fastening leg should be filled with filler.
-
Press the tiles firmly and align them so that they are flush with the top edge of the profile. Leave a gap of 2-3 mm to the profile.
-
Fill the space between the tile and the profile completely with grout.
