Grouting is the process of filling the gap between the tiles with grout. This fixes the tiles and also prevents the direct penetration of water. In addition, grouting is important for a smooth surface. Depending on the environmental conditions, you can start tiling 24 to 48 hours after grouting.

FAQ End profiles

When can I start grouting after tiling?

It is important that you wait until the tile adhesive has completely hardened before grouting. You can find precise information on the drying time from the manufacturer of the adhesive you are using.

How do I lay tiles?

First, make sure that the joints are free of dust, dirt or mortar residue. Now you can mix the grout. Make sure that you do not mix too much (approximately as much as you can use in 20 minutes). Now spread the grout with a suitable smoothing board. Once you have applied everything evenly, let the grout dry until it is matt. Next, rinse the joints. After 1 hour at the latest, you can then start cleaning the tiles and removing the film with a sponge board.

What are tiles grouted with?

For this purpose, you can use cement grout with plastic content, flexible cement grout or epoxy resin.
