Installation of the DURAL pedestal rail system for paving:
- Preparation of the substrate:
Ensure that the substrate is stable. The pedestals can be laid on concrete, gravel/chippings and wood. On grit/gravel, 40 x 40 cm base plates must be installed. In addition, the substrate must be properly sealed and a DR100++ drainage membrane is recommended for drainage. - Positioning the pedestals:
Start positioning the pedestals in a corner and adjust the height accordingly. Use a spirit level to check the slope. Unevenness is levelled out by the self-levelling head. - Attaching the rail system:
The pedestal support heads (except for pedestal support head S) are rotated by 45° and the rails are clipped in. When connecting individual rails, it is recommended to fix the connecting pieces with assembly adhesive. Always use the spirit level to check that the height of the pedestals is set correctly. - Fitting the rail attachments to the rails:
The attachments are now simply clipped onto the rails. If necessary, additional rails can be laid crosswise underneath the existing rail construction at a distance of approx. 300 cm to ensure additional stability. - Laying the slabs:
The slabs can now be laid. - Pedestals at the edge area:
For edge areas, the base element may need to be cut to size at the markings. For edge areas, cut the base element to fit at the markings and break out the bars on the head so that laying the slab up to the edge is not impaired.
To prevent the slabs from hitting the wall, we also offer the matching wall connection clips in the shop.
