Balcony profiles - balcony tile trims:

Balcony profiles are indispensable elements for the perfect finish and stability of your balcony or patio. These profiles are available in different materials and shapes, so you'll find something for every application. Some of our balcony profiles are compatible with special matting systems or specially designed for use on paving pedestals. They have versatile functions that ensure you have a clean outdoor area in the long term.

Functions of a balcony edge profile:

  • Protect the edges of your tiles and slabs with our balcony profiles.
  • End rails for the balcony with drip edge ensure effective water drainage. The façade remains clean.
  • Edge profiles for balconies in conjunction with pedestal supports elegantly conceal the substructure and the space between the slab and the concrete floor.

Balcony profiles and terrace edging profiles - the best and safest solution for balconies and terraces. Chipped and damaged edges are impossible with our profiles.

The different materials of the balcony profiles:

Balcony end profiles and terrace end profiles are generally available in stainless steel, aluminium or plastic, for example. The different materials offer different advantages and disadvantages. Which material is best for you is explained here.

Balcony tile trims made of aluminium:

The most common material is probably aluminium. Above all, the wide range of options for finishing the surface means that these profiles are available in a variety of colours. Aluminium balcony profiles are also corrosion-resistant and highly weather-resistant. They provide long-term protection for your balcony floor coverings at the edge of the balcony and can also prevent moisture ingress. As aluminium profiles are also cheaper than stainless steel and have similar advantages, we mainly offer aluminium balcony profiles.

Stainless steel balcony profiles:

With stainless steel as a material, you get maximum robustness and corrosion resistance, especially when it comes to V4A. Even chlorine or salt water cannot damage it. This makes the profiles particularly weather-resistant and durable. Furthermore, stainless steel balcony profiles have a timeless and stylish look that creates a harmonious appearance. However, they are also the most expensive option.

Balcony profiles made of plastic:

The most cost-effective option is plastic balcony edging profiles. However, these are less durable than profiles made of aluminium or stainless steel. High levels of UV radiation in particular mean that you will only enjoy these profiles for a short time, as the profile quickly becomes brittle due to the effects of the weather. You won't have such problems with aluminium or stainless steel, which is why we mainly offer aluminium finishing rails for balconies. The optimal combination of durability and favourable price.

Different balcony edge profile heights for different installation heights:

We offer a wide range of heights for the construction of your balcony. The possible height selection varies depending on the product.

The drip edged balcony profile is available in 9 mm, 11 mm and 13 mm. Ideal for standard tile thicknesses. Make sure you allow for a buffer of 1 - 2 mm so that you get a flush result. Only then is the edge protection of your tiles really guaranteed. Standard slabs with a thickness of 20 mm can be used with the T-shaped balcony tile edge trim. The Y-shaped balcony tile edge trim is recommended for installation heights of 53 mm, 65 mm and 95 mm.

Areas of application for balcony tile trims:

Balcony profiles offer numerous application possibilities and can be combined in many ways with, for example, paving pedestals or draining mats. They can be used as decking edging profiles or for balcony edging.

Balcony profiles with pedestals:

The T-shaped balcony tile edge trim is specially designed for use in combination with our paving pedestals supports. The long cover of the profile perfectly conceals the gap between the balcony substrate and the tile. The balcony profile is designed for slabs with a thickness of up to 20 mm. Last but not least, they provide a stable edge solution and protect your balcony edge from the weather.

Balcony tile trims with drainage mats:

The Y-shaped balcony tile edge trim is ideal for use with our draining mats. This has extra drainage slots so that the water can be effectively drained through the mat via a drip edge. This prevents water damage to the substrate and external wall, which is particularly important as such damage can be very costly.

FAQs

Questions and answers
