Tile decoupling mat

Correct application of the tiling decoupling membrane:

1. Preparing the substrate: The substrate must be dry, load-bearing and level. In addition, leveling measures must be carried out before laying the mat.
2. Applying the thin-bed mortar: For most substrates, a hydraulically setting flexible mortar or fast-setting flexible adhesive in accordance with DIN EN 12004 / C2 is used. Apply the mortar with a 4 x 4 mm notched trowel (important not to use larger notches).
3. Laying the mat: Work the mats into the adhesive using a pressure roller. Ensure that the mats are not clamped in place with a force fit.
4. Taping over mat joints: The joints of mats laid next to each other are taped over with our sealing strip WP, for example. Expansion joints must be made watertight with the tape in loop form.
