processing
processing
The correct processing of the anti-slip stair profile made of stainless steel:
- Selecting the appropriate height:
It is necessary to allow for a buffer of 1 - 2 mm to ensure a clean and flush result, as the adhesive will add a little extra thickness. Therefore, choose a profile that is 1 - 2 mm higher than the thickness of the tile. - Spreading tile adhesive:
Before applying the tile adhesive, remove dust and dirt from the surface to which the profile is to be attached. Then apply the adhesive with a serrated trowel. - Attach profile:
Now the punched leg of the profile is pressed into the adhesive bed. At the same time, align the profile. Then embed the leg completely in the adhesive. - Installing tiles:
The tile is now laid so that it is flush with the top edge of the profile and with a joint of 2 - 3 mm to the profile. - Filling the joint:
Finally, fill the joint completely with joint mortar.
If necessary, a hacksaw or a grinder (use a fresh cutting disc) can be used to shorten the profile.
