Dural decoupling membrane for tile – decoupling mat with electric underfloor heating
The heating mat from Dural is the perfect basis for modern electric underfloor heating. It serves as a carrier for heating cables with a diameter of 2–4.5 mm and at the same time protects the tile or natural stone covering from cracks and moisture.
Thanks to the special studded structure, heating cables can be easily clicked into place – quickly, securely and without any additional effort. The mat, which is only 6 mm thick, is ideal for new builds and renovations, even on difficult surfaces such as old tiles, screed, concrete or wood.
Whether in the bathroom, kitchen or living room: with this mat, you can create durable, visually flawless floors and lay the foundation for cosy warmth right under your feet.

Applications
Applications
Use of underfloor heating decoupling mats
The decoupling mat for heating cables is used as a carrier for heating cables directly under tile or natural stone coverings. Not only does it ensure easy integration of the heating cables, it also reliably protects the floor from moisture and crack transmission from the subfloor.
Thanks to its low installation height, the mat is suitable for both new construction projects and renovations – even on critical substrates such as old tiles, concrete or wood. The heating cables are simply clicked into the studded structure, ensuring quick, safe and even installation.
Typical application: Installation in bathrooms, kitchens or living rooms as the basis for efficient electric underfloor heating.
Processing
Processing
Processing the Dural decoupling mat for heating cables
- Preparing the substrate
The substrate must be stable, clean and level. Carry out any levelling work before installation. - Cutting the mat to size
Cut the strips to size. Lay them edge to edge and leave a 5–10 mm edge joint all around with edge insulation strips. - Priming and applying adhesive
Prime the substrate accordingly. Apply suitable tile adhesive with a 6 x 6 mm notched trowel. - Laying the mat
Embed the strips with the fleece facing downwards into the adhesive over the entire surface. Work in carefully with a pressure roller. Loose laying is not possible. - Laying heating cables and sensors
Once the adhesive has dried, click the heating cable (e.g. DEVIcomfort 10T) into the studded structure. Insert the temperature sensor into the mat at the same time. - Sealing joints
Carefully fill the studs at the mat joints with tile adhesive. Secure the joints additionally with DURABASE sealing tape. - Apply tile covering
Apply tile adhesive with a suitable notched trowel without additional waiting time. Lay tiles or natural stone slabs using the buttering-floating method. Ensure that no adhesive remains in the edge and connection joints.
